Steven Tyler

Steven TylerUnder the guidance of Frank Connelly, their first manager, they took a few time on Boston's club circuit. The band then started working with Steve Leber (New York) and David Krebs (New York). The band's debut album, which was named "Eponymous" was released in 1973. They signed a record deal in the year 1972. It was then followed by Get Your Wings, Toys in the Attic, Rocks and Draw the Line, which brought Aerosmith to fame internationally and recognition. These albums were awash with legendary hits like "Dream On", Walk This Way, "Sweet Emotion" and "Walk This Way". Aerosmith's initial five albums have also been multi-platinum as well as Toys in the Attic and Rocks are thought to be among the top hard rock albums of all time. As the decade went by however, the band's busy schedule of traveling, recording, and living together started wearing their bodies. Due to their famous use of stimulants and heroin, Tyler and Perry were often referred to as the Toxic Twins. Aerosmith Behind the Music as well as many video releases of Aerosmith show their relationship. Tyler was more committed to the group, and seemed to dislike Perry's passive attitude. Perry, however, was jealous of Tyler's choice for women she dated. The dynamic of tension between Tyler, Perry, and their once-friendly girlfriends was apparently an important factor in the decline of Aerosmith, circa 1980.
