Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist and currently is a competitor in the UFC flyweight division. Valentina is her older sister, as well as a fellow UFC competitors. Antonina Shevchenko's professional career in combat sport started out as a Muay Thai competitor. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title and then defeated Suzane Mller in a unanimous decision. Antonina continued her career by taking home bronze and silver medals in 2007 and 2008 respectively, a Gold medal in 2011, as well as the year-end 2016 IFMA amateur Muay Thai world champion. Antonia's professional career began in 2003. She won in 2012 her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship and in 2016 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, she won the WMC World Championships. Antonina was most recently seen battling Isa TIDBLAD Keskikangas at The Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was able to win with a majority. Antonina Schevchenko set professional MMA records in 2002, when she took on Anara Bazanova in the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She went 3-0, after winning in the second round TKO. Her next two fights were won at WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko was forced to take a time off from MMA and focused on her boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 when she fought Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko was victorious against Anissa Haddaoui by a unanimous decision. She was then able to defeat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, by the same decision. She was a part of the Dana White Contender Series 2018 after leaving the promotion. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina used her superior fighting skills and striking skills to TKO Nievera in the clinch via knees to the body. Antonina's UFC contract was re-extended after this win. Antonina was offered a UFC contract following her win. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi by a split-decision fight, after prevailing in the initial fight by unanimous decision. Antonina has recovered from her loss by defeating Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler via a rear-naked choke submission. She was awarded the prize of fight-of-the-night. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in her next 3 fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski, but fell to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina suffered a loss to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO during UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
